Windows Media Codecs:

All SS and video files, with the exception of those designed to play on Apple I-Pods or other portable video players (Mp4), require Windows Media Player with Windows Media 9 Codec.

When the screen saver first starts, Windows may attempt to automatically download this Codec from MS Windows Media support site. Like all files obtained directly from Microsoft, it is safe to download this file.

System Resources:

Video screen savers typically use more system resources than standard slide show type. A 630 MHz CPU and a minimum of 512 MB of RAM are recommended.  

The Google Desktop and other programs that run in the background, may interfere with the proper loading and functioning of this screen saver. Too many programs open at the same time may cause the screen saver and system to lock-up or hang. If you start having problems, we suggest that you increase allocation of resources going to Windows.

Muting Sounds & Music:

After the screensaver installs, you will notice that the Windows Screensaver Control Panel will automatically come up, giving you a number of options, including the choice of MUTING THE MUSIC. You may do this at any time.
